The BB&O Golf Partnership are delighted to announce a renewed sponsorship arrangement with Invesco Perpetual. The Henley-based company are one of the largest independent fund managers in the UK. As part of the sponsorship package, Invesco Perpetual have agreed to host the inaugural BB&O Golf Mark awards night which recognises high standards of junior facilities and coaching within golf clubs.

Renewed Sponsorship from Invesco Perpetual

The Partnership are delighted to announce that Invesco Perpetual have renewed their sponsorship for 2009/10. In 2008, Invesco Perpetual sponsored the Golf Mark Awards evening and enabled the Partnership to provide additional grants to Golf Mark clubs. A number of projects are being considered for their support this year.
Many thanks to Invesco Perpetual for their continued involvement.

Abbey Hill Disability Project

Abbey Hill GC are leading the way on a joint disability project with the BB&O GP and Bucks Sport, kicking off with an Open Day for all disability adult groups. After this initial Welcome Day of fun, coaching and games, the club are then going to set up a Disability Section within their golf club and are prepared to have specific events and competitions on their driving range, putting green and short course.

Abbey Hill Shows the Way

Abbey Hill Golf Club is taking junior golf development really seriously. It has designed and constructed a Junior Golf Development notice board to highlight what is available both within the club and elsewhere. No excuses here for not knowing what is going on!
The Notice Board was funded by the £200 grant which the club received from Invesco Perpetual and the Golf Partnership for the achievement of Golf Mark accreditation.

Emily wins Oxfordshire Girls

Emily Keel has become the Oxfordshire Girl''s Handicap Champion winning her title at Hadden Hill with a net score of 68. 16-years old Emily is a member at Henley GC and has benefitted from Junior Academy coaching at Studley Wood, once a month. She has only been playing golf seriously for a couple of years and has a high level of committment to improving her game. Well done Emily!

BB&O Girls
Wed 20th May
Buckinghamshire hosted this event at Woburn GC. The event was a clean sweep for Bucks girls, winning scratch, handicap and team prizes.

Max Smith wins McEvoy Trophy and a trip to Japan
Tue 28th Apr
Congratulations to 17-years old Max Smith, from Newbury Golf Centre, who recently became the first junior from BB&O to win the prestigious Peter McEvoy Trophy, played at Copt Heath.
Max has now been called up to the England Boys team to contest the World Boys Team Championship in Japan, in June.
We all wish Max well!
